Set up your rental business and advertising using our easy-to-use system. Just fill in the details and upload photos. Adverts appearing on the first page generally attract more customer interest. Your advert will also appear randomly on www.owners-direct.org and www.ownersabroad.org.  

     Your advert will be highlighted in bold in a larger type, with a longer instead description and carry TWO photographs instead of the normal one.  For an example, look at the adverts for Villa Aurora and Buttsbury House at www.owners-direct.org/barbados.html.
     For instance, if you owned a rental property in Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol, Spain then your property would feature on the first page at the Benalmadena heading on

5. Your automated booking calendar
 
You'll be able to mark up prices for each week including extras and discounts, set up availability and preferred booking start days. Just clicking on your calendar starts the booking process
You can link to your booking calendar from any web page you already have or copy and paste the code provided when you become a member and insert the whole calendar within an existing website
 
6. Accept on-line credit card payments
 
Your customers will be able to pay for their booking and authorise a breakage deposit online by credit/debit card through the internet.

All payments are held securely in a separate client account until the booking is complete giving the customer confidence to book and making the process safe and secure. You have your own online account statement. Once the booking is completed you'll be able to transfer your payments to any bank account worldwide, wherever you are whenever you choose.

Q. How does a customer pay for a booking?

 

A

. After you have accepted a booking request the system automatically informs the customer and invites them to pay online by credit/debit card by logging into the renters area. As soon as they pay you are informed by email that we have collected the payment and the booking shows as being paid in your members console in Payments> request a payment. You are then able to collect the funds from your online account with us less our charges.

Q. How do I update the availability/Prices on the calendar?

 A.
Login to your members console and go to Property Listings section. Find the property you want to edit.

Either
Click on the button 'calendar set prices and availbility
or
Click on the link Edit Listing. Click on Step 3 'Set your prices per week  and date availability'. 
Select the dates you wish to work with by clicking on the calendar or selecting from the drop down box. 
Then select the currency, enter the price per week and click on 'Set Prices' OR click 'Make unavailable' - this is a simple way of blocking out dates for family and friends and your own use.

If you want to edit a specific part of the property then please before clicking on Edit Listing look for it on the property listings page, you might be able to go to it straight from there.

Its also a quick way of setting up your calendar when you first join Rentalsystems and inputting bookings that you received prior to joining.

Q. I've updated my property photos but why have the photos on my advert not changed ?

A.
When web pages are viewed the images that are downloaded are often stored on your PC as "Temporary Internet Files" ready to be used the next time that particular webpage is viewed again. This helps to speed up the loading of the page as the images are already in your system the next time you view it. A good way to get around this problem is to do the following after you have changed your photos.
Open the advert webpage where you can see the old images.
Right click the page (not on an image though). You should then see a list of options.
Select "Refresh" or "Reload".
This then makes a new request for the entire webpage and replaces any temporary internet files.
If this does not work then try then following
(Browser means the program you use to view websites)
For Internet Explorer browsers...
Click Tools > Internet Options > from the General tab click Delete files
When the pop up appears tick the "Delete all offline content" checkbox
Click OK
Click Settings > make sure the item "Every visit to the page" is selected
For Firefox browsers...
Click Tools > Options
Click the Privacy icon
Click the Clear button next to the word "Cache"
For Netscape browsers...
Click Edit > Preferences
Click the Advanced link
Click Cache
Click Clear Cache
Make sure "Every time i view the page" is selected
Finally close and reopen your browser
