Aegean to the Balkan countries,
Greece offers enough to fill months of travel. Diverse islands, a
different culture and a relaxed way of life along with golden
beaches and sparkling seas has made Greece and its islands a popular
holiday destination.
Beaches stretch out along a convoluted coastline equal
in length to those of France. The islands range from sleepy backwaters
where the ferry calls twice a week to resorts as cosmopolitan as any
in the Mediterranean.
The Cycladic island of Paros for instance has more
ferry traffic than any other island due to being between Athens and
the well known islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Non-stop the island
can be covered in less than hour, but there are far too many sandy
beaches to explore.
Then there is Skiathos which, in common with most Greek
islands, Skiathos enjoys a beautiful climate, blue seas and golden
beaches. Holidays in Skiathos are ideal for those who love nightlife,
shopping, crowded beaches, fun and entertainment. Those seeking a
traditional quiet Greek holiday should try the other Sporades or any
of the countless islands that make up this wonderful country.
The Greek way of life is slow and relaxed - and you
will find yourself slowing down to their pace on a Greek holiday.
