Milan. Milan is a city at the forefront of fashion and home to some of the world’s greatest art treasures and is Italy’s second largest city. View the magnificent Duomo, one of the largest cathedrals in the world and a Gothic masterpiece, and admire Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’, which is housed in the Santa Maria delle Grazie although advance booking is required. The 19th-century Museo Bagatti Valsecchi is dedicated to a collection of 15th and 16th-century antiques, and the 19th-century Parco Sempione park with its aquarium and fine art gallery is worth calling in at.

Lake Garda. Clear waters, picture postcard scenery, stylish villas and medieval castles all mark Italy's lakes and t here is literally something for everyone from leisurely strolls around the shores and cobbled streets and passing the day in the many lakeside cafes, through to a host of activities and water sports and a variety of theme parks.
 

Rome. The ‘Eternal City’ of Rome lives and breathes history. Do include visits to the majestic Vatican city or visit one of Rome's parks and gardens - try the beautiful gardens of Villa Borghese. The Centro Storico is crammed with examples of Renaissance architecture with its magnificent fountains, regal palaces and Baroque churches. Call on the fountains of the 4 rivers, the sweeping Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain immortalised in La Dolce Vita.

Turin. Positioned close to the French border Turin is a fabulous city for food and drink. Vermouth is produced in the city by Martini and Cinzano and if you are a chocolate lover, the city was the birthplace of solid chocolate. The city is also famous for its `Shroud` - a religious relic revered by many and held in the Duomo, the 16th century cathedral. A climb of the 67 metres tall Mole Antonelliana provides breathtaking views of the city.
