Lying in the middle of the Indian Ocean's warm azure waters is
the unique island nation of the Maldives, a barefoot paradise of
over 1,000 tiny islands.
Of these, only about 70 have been
developed for tourism and each is surrounded by its own little
reef.
The Maldives is a dream come true with blue lagoons,
palm-fringed beaches, blue lagoons and clear warm water. Almost
deserted, white sandy beaches beg you to take a swim in the
clearest turquoise seas, or dive down to Asia's finest
underwater sites. The dry season is between December and
April and although it's still warm between May and November the
humidity is higher and there is more chance of rain.
